Rebecca Reeves: At Rest

At Rest explores the fragile space between life and death through hand-beaded flowers that embody decay and preservation. The flowers are first constructed, then deconstructed and aged through a process of skeletonization, until their delicate wire structures are revealed. Beads grow sparse, worn by time, gently clinging to the frames. The work offers a quiet space where words fall away, and silence briefly settles. It becomes an act of preservation for those who mourn, a tribute to unconditional love.
